Second Commander of the House of Blades and current Sect Leader of the Fajing Sect, one of the three Demonic Sects in the Jianghu province that originated from Cui Youwang. He claims to be the second sibling on his house. He is Guang Lingsan's martial brother and also his successor.
A member of the House of Blades who follows Feng Xiao closes. He is a relatively young man with a kind-heart. It is noted by Feng Xiao that Pei Jingzhe is too innocent and naive to know the cruel ways of the world, but Feng Xiao seems to hold some sort of hope in Pei Jingzhe, deliberately pushing his potential from time to time, hoping he could gain enough encouragement to excel as a member of the House of Blades.

She is a subordinate of Cui Buqu who sees him as a father/guardian/brother, loves and respects him. Qiao Xian learned the medicial arts, martial arts, so that she could protect Cui Buqu and nurse his health whenever he travels away from the capital. Everyone in the Zuoyue Bureau sees her as his bodyguard or some sort. She seems be very familiar with Cui Buqu's personality.
One of the vice commanders of the Zuoyue Bureau, and someone that Cui Buqu puts absolute faith in. Zhangsun is much more stable and calm compared to Qiao Xian, who possesses a hotter temper. His martial arts is excellent. Zhangsun hates schemes and strategies, preferring to do more honest and straightforward work such as holding a blade and killing enemies on the battlefield.
A disciple of the Hehuan Sect (yes, the same one from Qianqiu). She is well-received by her sect and her people. It is believed that she is most likely the next Sect Leader of the Hehuan Sect. Another theory that Feng Xiao knew her teacher, Bai Rong, since Feng Xiao was familiar to both the name Hehuan Sect and he was also the martial brother of former sect leader of Faxing Sect, Guang Lingsan.
Former imperial family. Yuwen Yun was the former Emperor of the Sui Empire shortly before his own Prime Minister and father-in-law, Yang Jian, overthrew him. Yuwen Yun was killed, his Empress, Yang Lihua, was taken back by her father and recrowned Princess Leping.

Daughter of Yang Jian. She was married to Yuwen Yun and had one daughter, Yuwen Eying. She is also the eldest daughter of Emperor Yang Jian and Empress Dugu.
Daughter of Yuwen Yun and unknown mother. She was married to Khan Ishbara and is currently his queen. After her father was overthrown and murdered by Yang Jian, she held immense hatred for him. It was said that the war between Turk and the Sui Empire was because she has convinced her husband to go to war with her father's murderer.
Current imperial family.
Formerly the Prime Minister of the country, Yang Jian gathered a rebellion and overthrew his own son-in-law, Yuwen Yun, for he was a tyranny king. He spared his own daughter and granddaughter and remade them princess and members of the royal family. His wife is Empress Dugu, and he has no concubines.
The only wife of Emperor Yang Jian. An intelligent, sharp-witted and passionate woman. She not only helped her husband in his family's matters, but also participated in the imperial court, which former Empresses were not known for doing.

Fifth daughter of Emperor Yang Jian and Empress Dugu. When she was asked by the Emperor and Empress if she wanted to marry an outstanding general, she begged for a bethrotal to Feng Xiao, shocking her parents. Because of this, Feng Xiao asked be the ambassador who will receive the Khotan Ambassaddor so he could quickly leave the capital.
Daughter of Yuwen Yun and Princess Leping. She is 14 years old during her first appearance, an intelligent and matured child although she is still very young. Since she is the only daughter of Princess Leping, she is loved dearly by her mother.
Established by Empress Dugu, the current Empress of the Sui Empire, wife to Emperor Yang Jian. She established the Zuoyue Bureau as an agency to attend to the matters of the pugilist world, as to not stand in the way of the House of Blades who dealth with matters concerning the capital and within the country. It has one Commander and two Vice-Commanders.

Established by Emperor Yang Jian, the current Emperor of the Sui Empire, husband to Empress Dug. He established the House of Blades as an agency directly underneath him. The House of Blades has 3 commanders. Although the Minister of Justice is the 1st Commander of the House of Blades, he is often not present. The one who commands the house is usually Feng Xiao.

He eventually got obsessed over Feng Xiao, the only one who was stronger than him in martial arts. |
